Became an advocate for my community and decided to run for City Council. I won my first election by just 3 votes. The most exciting 3 votes of my life.

Madison Heights City Council
Served on the Madison Heights City Council for 2 years, helping to improve policy and the quality of life of our 30,000+ residents.
Madison Heights Food Pantry
Helped to develop the Madison Heights Food Pantry with several other volunteers by serving on the board for one year, and sourcing the shelving units and shelter needed to begin collection.
Human Resources and Equity Commission
Proposed creating the Human Rights and Equity Commission to Madison Heights City Council. It was approved as the Human Resources and Equity Commission, where I served as Council Representative for the first year.
Arts Board
Joined the Madison Heights Arts Board as a Member at Large, shortly thereafter became the Chair. Once elected into office I was relegated to an alternate council seat position. Served on the board for 2 years.
Historical Commission
Serves as the Council Representative on the Historical Commission for 2 years.
Ann Arbor Derby Dimes
Served on the board of the Ann Arbor Derby Dimes as the public relations officer and athletic director for 2 years.
Women's Flat Track Roller Derby Club
Served as the Public Relations Officer on the board of the WFTRDC for 3 years on the University of Michigan Campus.
Flint City Derby Girls
Served as the Public Relations Director for the Flint City Derby Girls for 3 years.
