Over the past decade I have developed a communication style that is not only thoughtful and observational, but resonates and motivates others in the process.
When communicating in a professional environment I am able to relate to my peers and translate ideas to help garner support from others.
I posess the confidence to communicate clearly and directly with all levels of employees, from corporate executives to unhappy clients.
Problem Solving
I am able to thrive in a challenging environment. I use my experience in high stress situations, and my ability to recognize patterns, to approach difficult tasks and find thoughtful opportunities for solutions.
An example where I was able to tackle a major problem was when I helped develop a plan of action for a toxic spill clean up in my city. I was able to help the city of Madison Heights mitigate litigation from our constituents by bringing my communities concerns directly to the forefront of the issue. I helped develop presentations and townhalls to address resident concerns and ideas for solutions. GLWA’s Public Relations rep Jill Greenberg would later tell me that my actions on this issue helped to develop the precedent for how the organization approaches toxic spills statewide.
Confidence
I recognize the value in my own skills and experience. I am strategically aware of how to use these mechanisms to work with others in a professional environment to achieve optimization, cooperation, and success.
I have made my way through my professional career with very little in the way of resources and have managed to accomplish quite a lot using my ability to communicate, adapt, and learn from my environment and experiences. I am acutely aware of how to maximize opportunity from any given situation. I learn fast and adapt quickly to ever changing environments.

After working in Design and Marketing for more than 15 years, I have had the opportunity to develop and optimize file organization systems to improve workflow and develop sustainable digital practices company wide. My most profound impact would have been as a Lead Designer at reach | influence.

Idea Mapping
I often will refer to idea mapping to help develop ideas as well as optimize processes and procedures. I feel this is a great way to help compartmentalize how to present ideas and solve problems.
Data Analytics
You can find data in anything. Over the past 15 years I have used data analytics to do everything from grow my business to becoming an elected official. I see patterns in everything and am able to use that information to design and optimize processes of operation and organization.

Applied Experience
Furniture Designer & Fabricator
I am former owner of Clarks Fabrication and Design, a furniture fabrication shop started by my husband and I out of our garage. For 6 years we worked with top designers and architects in the area designing and fabricating furniture and decor. Our work has been featured in Eater and Seen Magazines, as well as on the DIY Network Website.
I have extensive knowledge of local designers, fabricators, makers, architechts, and contractors and have developed positive working relationships with many of them over the years. I believe my experience in this area could help to contribute to the value of the company.
Event Planning
From forming the states 3rd Roller Derby League, to producing a burlesque show, and developing fun, free, and accessible activities all over my community, I have been able to successfully plan and produce wildly entertaining experiences for people all over the state of Michigan. Interpersonal Skills
I have a knack for bringing people together to do good things. I enjoy working with and collaborating with others. I have founded several organizations that worked to bring volunteers together, building lasting positive relationships along the way. I believe this translates to cultivating a positive work environment and developing positive relationships with my peers and the companies clients, associates, and partners.
