Designed after the popular television series Letterkenny episode: Adult Spelling Bee. This FREE event was proposed to challenge locals to compete to be the best at spelling the worlds most commonly misspelled words. With 18 spellers and over 50 people in attendance, we enjoyed an enthusiastic evening of literacy and friendship that will be shared now on a regular basis at local bars and restaurants. The event catered to people of all ages and demographics. The top 3 spellers all went home with a trophy, and is still being celebrated in neighborhood forums today. The event was FREE to participate in, FREE to attend, cost nothing to organize and doubled the venues profits for the evening. Events like these can be used to promote businesses and literacy within any community.
